Papaya Leaf Extract (Carica Papaya)
This non-abrasive ingredient is specific to dead cell digestion. It helps soften sebum, gently exfoliates dead cell buildup, and leaves the skin
silky smooth. Papaya leaf extract is abundant in antioxidants and phytonutrients and contains both Vitamin A and Vitamin C. Papain Enzyme, the natural exfoliant of the Papaya Leaf Extract, breaks down glued surface cells and increases cell turnover.

Salicylic Acid
This ingredient’s keratolytic nature aids in dissolving the top layer of the stratum corneum. Salicylic acid is derived from the bark of sweet birch and wintergreen leaves. It is also known for its antiseptic qualities and is acceptable for use on most skin types, except those allergic to “aspirin” or extremely dry or sensitive skin. Salicylic Acid Unplugs blocked skin pores and reduces swelling and redness from pimples.

Rough To Smooth Serum

Rough, dry skin results primarily from two conditions:

(1) a damaged lipid-barrier that no longer seals moisture between surface skin cells and

(2) an uneven surface caused by a “hill-and-valley” topography. Damage to the skin’s lipid barrier occurs with such incidents as age, stress, poor diet, UV exposure, severe environments, or harsh skin care products. The skin’s natural topography is unique to the individual, yet this uneven surface is seen to some extent in every skin.

Rough to Smooth Serum’s dual moisture/protection action addresses both causes of rough, dry skin. First, skin-fortifying lipids are delivered into the skin’s damaged layers, strengthening the barrier, repairing damage from UV light, and making underlying layers more resistant to dryness and irritation.

Home Care | Gently smooth 1-3 pumps of RoughTo Smooth Serum over moisturizer foundation, Solar Defender SPF 30, or physical sunscreens containing titanium dioxide and/or zinc oxide. Wait until Rough To Smooth Serum is dry (about 1-2 minutes) before applying products placed over the serum. Makeup Application: Apply ½ pump Equalizing Serum on the face over moisturizer and under makeup—preps skin for mineral makeup by making skin ultra-smooth and receptive to mineral powders. Makeup may be applied after only 2 minutes.
